February was warmer than scientists expected our planet to be in decades. Parts of the Arctic was 16 degrees warmer than it should be.
But I don’t notice anything. London is still quite cold and the spring hasn’t properly started yet. For me, it’s not warmer. And that applies for most of us. We just keep warming the planet but we notice nothing. This morning, many of us sat in our cars. Even if we took the bus it probably run on fossil fuels. Maybe we already had lunch, perhaps a beef? We don’t see the connection between our lunch and the global emissions from the cattle industry.
We just don’t see the connection between climate change and our everyday life. That’s why we need global regulations right now, put in place by people who did an effort to see the connection. In democracies, we together actually have the power to demand that.
